Calling all wine lovers – we are very excited to present to you a Vieux Télégraphe Dinner at BANG.


An evening of wine and food pairing with BANG Restaurant & Bar and Edouard Brunier from celebrated Châteauneuf -du-Pape producer Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe.


Join us on Wednesday 21st of February for an experience to remember. This will be a very special evening, it is Edouard Brunier’s only visit to Dublin in 2018. Enjoy a 4 course dinner cooked by chef Niall O’Sullivan, as Edouard talks through these special wines.

Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe has been run by the Brunier family over six generations, since 1891. The estate’s vineyards, 60 years old on average, are planted on the celebrated Plateau of La Crau, a site renowned for grape–growing in Châteauneuf–du–Pape and are regarded as a classic amongst collectors and wine enthusiasts alike.

We will be tasting from their range, including multiple expressions of Châteauneuf -du-Pape plus the very rare and sought after Chateauneuf Blanc. See below for menu & more notes on the wine.

Vignobles Brunier, Chateauneuf-du-Pape Piedlong Rouge 2013

The 2013 Piedlong is a spectacular showing from the Brunier Family. It instantly opens with gorgeous aromas of dark cherries and black plums, layered with exotic spices, lavender and fresh minerals. This continues to impress on the palate with its wonderful richness and depth, backed by beautifully concentrated flavors of dark fruits, spices and lavender, which carry on well into the finish. Overall, this is a stunning wine which is already extremely appealing, and also shows the potential to evolve for years to come. Vieux Télégraphe La Crau Chateauneuf du Pape 2015

A wine with playful, attractive character. An array of red, blue and purple fruits. Gently spicy, chalky and fragrant, it has a very supple, fleshy and layered palate with a web of fine, smooth and supple tannins. Extremely elegant and composed. A long draw on the finish.
